The Transparency International (TI) has once again ranked Nigeria as the 36th most corrupt country in the world for the year 2025, according to the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) report released on Tuesday.
The report revealed that Nigeria dropped from 140th position in 2024 to 142nd out of 182 countries assessed. In the CPI ranking, a score of 0 represents the highest level of corruption, while 100 indicates the cleanest.
Nigeria scored 26 points, tying with countries such as Cameroon, Guatemala, Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, and Papua New Guinea.
