    Ramadan: Radda flag off disbursement of cash assistance to disabled, vulnerable groups

    Ramadan: Radda flag off disbursement of cash assistance to disabled, vulnerable groups.From Muawuya bala ldris Katsina.. Katsina state governor,Mallam Umar Dikko Radda has flag off disbursement of over N15.390million to 727 vulnerable, disabled, women and other groups in kaita local government area.The cash assistance was provided by Executive chairman of state Universal Basic Education Board ,Dr Kabir Magaji Gafia under his foundation.Speaking at the occasion,Radda commended Gafia for his humanitarian assistance to vulnerable groups.Represented by Secretary to the government, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari recalled that similar assistance was provided by the foundation to over 500 vulnerable last year. He called on other elected and political appointees to emulate Gafia by extending hand of assistance to vulnerable groups.He said his administration would support and encourage individuals working to alleviate suffering of people.Radda called on benefiaries of the assistance to make good of the cash amount given to them He also called on people of the state to use month of Ramadan to pray for sustainance of peace.Ealier,Dr Gafia said he doled out the amount as part his contribution to his constituency He said the benefiaries of cash assistance are disabled, vulnerable,women groups,APC members,youth among others.He pleaged to sustain the assistance every year to cover all parts of the area.In his Speech, a member representing kaita constituency, Abdullahi Sirojo Kaskaro noted that the disbursement of cash assistance will boost economic activities in the area.He called for collective approach by political appointees from the are towards fighting poverty among people.
