President Tinubu Secures APC Presidential Primary Victory In Kano State

President Bola Tinubu has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Direct Primaries in Kano State, recording a massive victory across the state.
The Kano State Chief Collation Officer and Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, declared President Tinubu winner after the collation of results from the 44 local government areas of the state.
Announcing the results, Governor Yusuf said “President Tinubu polled 500,852 votes to defeat his opponent, Stanley Osifo, who secured 2,675 votes.”
According to him, “a total of 503,527 votes were cast during the direct primaries held across Kano State.”
Governor Yusuf congratulated President Tinubu on what he described as a historic victory, noting that “the outcome reflected the confidence Nigerians have in his leadership.”
“This victory is not just for President Tinubu, but for all Nigerians who believe in continuity and progress,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the overwhelming support recorded in the primaries was a clear indication of APC’s strength ahead of the general elections.
Yusuf also commended party members and delegates for their peaceful conduct and active participation throughout the exercise, assuring them that their votes would count in the forthcoming general elections.
Also speaking, the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, alongside House of Representatives member, Abubakar Bichi, described the primary election as peaceful, transparent, and devoid of rancour.
They expressed confidence that President Tinubu would replicate the Kano victory across the country during the general elections.
The collation and declaration ceremony attracted prominent APC stakeholders, including former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, as well as members of the National Assembly from the state.
