ASUU-ADUSTECH Hails Kano Govt Over Full Implementation Of 2025 FGN/ASUU Agreement

    By Abdullahi Yusuf

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil chapter, has commended the Kano State Government for domesticating and fully implementing the 2025 Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN)/ASUU Agreement.

The Chairman of the union, Dr. Aliyu Yusuf Ahmad, and his Secretary, Dr. Yusuf Shehu, gave the commendation in a statement issued after the union’s congress meeting, describing the Kano State Government as one of the first state governments in the country to fully implement the agreement.

ASUU-ADUSTECH, therefore, appreciated the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for its efforts towards improving the welfare and working conditions of staff of the university.

The union also acknowledged the government’s efforts in supporting the development of the institution and improving the welfare of academic staff.

The union’s commendation coincided with the current celebration of Teachers’ Day and the 60th anniversary of the historic ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning teachers’ rights, responsibilities and professional working conditions.

The union urged continued commitment to policies and programmes that would further enhance the welfare of university staff and improve the quality of education in Kano State.
