Renewed Hope:Kwankwaso Lauds Tinubu Over Takai’s Kano State Coordinator Appointment

An APC chieftain in Kano State,Dr.Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso,has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Mallam Salihu Sagir Takai as the Kano State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, describing the gesture as “well-deserved.”
Kwankwaso,in a statement circulated to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday, said the appointment of Mallam Salihu Takai by the President is worthy of commendation in view of his pedigree as an honest, disciplined and God-fearing person.
“Takai is well known for his honesty, belief in God, prudent financial discipline and maturity,which was why the then Governor Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau while living office in 2011 anointed him as the sole ANPP Gubernatorial Candidate for Kano State,” he said.
He said the appointment which was facilitated by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, would enable Takai to boost the wellbeing of the people the state whom according to him,wallow in abject poverty.
He also thanked Senator Barau Jibrin for facilitating the appointment and prayed Allah to reward him abundantly.
Kwankwaso said Senator Barau Jibrin’s series of efforts in obtaining appointments for Kano indigenes in the Federal Government should also commended, adding that such gesture qualified to him to be elected as the next Governor of Kano State in 2027.
Dr.Kwankwaso, who is also the Director Finance Hadejia Jamaare River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), said Takai would deploy his experience as a former Chairman of Takai Local Government and three-time Commissioner in the state to positively impact the lives of the people of the state.
“We heartily thank President Tinubu for his foresight, because what he did would surely endear him to the heart of the people of Kano,who will certainly vote for him for a second term in 2027.
“We assure President Tinubu that he has no problems with Kano people as they are supporting him now and they will also support his reelection in 2027 with their massive votes, because of the good things he is doing to them,” the APC stalwart added.
