PermSec Lauds Gov.Yusuf Over Achievements In Housing Sector

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has been commended for his transformative development of the state housing sector.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing Development, Alhaji Tijjani Muhammad Sheriff, made the commendation while answering questions from journalists on the development of the newly-established ministry
A statement by the ministry’s Director,Public Enlightenment,Adamu Abdullahi, said the permanent secretary described the Governor as a visionary leader whose commitment to development of the state housing sector is unprecedented.
He said within the short period of its establishment, the ministry had recorded a significant progress.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Yusuf, saying that the ministry is receiving special attention from him as he directed the immediate construction of new blocks for the ministry and new Administrative Headquarters and offices for the State Housing Corporation at Kwankwasiyya City.
The permanent secretary further stated that the Ministry had been working tirelessly to ensure that the state housing sector is transformed.
He said plans are in advanced stage to partner with the private sector and other stakeholders to accomplish the objectives of establishing the ministry.
He expressed satisfaction at the level of the work done so far, and praised the Contractor handling the project,expressing confidence that the project would be completed within the stipulated time frame.
