Former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, his wife Asabe Bashir, and son Abdulaziz Malami were granted ₦500 million bail each by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
They’re facing a 16-count charge of money laundering involving approximately ₦8.7 billion.

The bail conditions include providing two sureties with properties in Asokoro, Maitama, or Gwarimpa, submitting travel documents, and depositing two passport photographs. The trial is set to commence on February 17, 2026.
