    Independence Anniversary:Gov Yusuf Hails Tinubu For Stabilizing Economy, Improving Nigerians’ Wellbeing
    •On behalf of the Government and the good people of Kano State, I express our sincere appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his continued support to Kano State and for his efforts to stabilise the
    Nigerian economy and improve the wellbeing of our citizens.
    •Appreciates the Federal Government’s support for critical infrastructure, security and other development initiatives in our state
    •Urges people to reject violence, division, intolerance and criminality, and to embrace peace, lawful enterprise and responsible citizenship.
    •Calls on people to pray for peaceful, free, fair, and credible election, and to exercise their civic responsibilities
    responsibly.

    Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts to stabilize the nation’s economy and improve the well-being of Nigerians.
    Governor Yusuf made the commendation in his address on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary celebration held at the Sani Abacha Stadium,Kano.
    “On behalf of the Government and the good people of Kano State, I express our sincere appreciation to His Excellency,
    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his continued support to Kano State and for his efforts to stabilise the
    Nigerian economy and improve the wellbeing of our citizens.
    “We appreciate the Federal Government’s support for critical infrastructure, security and other development initiatives in our state,” he said.
    He also thanked thanked security agencies for their tireless efforts in maintaining peace and protecting the lives and property of the people of the state.
    “I wish to reiterate the commitment of the State Government to
    providing continuous support and cooperation to our security
    agencies, in the interest of the safety, security, and well-being
    of our people,” Yusuf said
    He urged the people to reject violence, division, intolerance and
    criminality, and to embrace peace, lawful enterprise and responsible citizenship.
    “Let us continue to support our
    farmers, traders, teachers, entrepreneurs, women and young people, and create an environment where every citizen has the
    opportunity to contribute to the development of our State.
    “Fellow citizens, as the 2027 General Election is fast approaching, I also appeal to you all to continue to uphold
    peace, unity, and mutual respect. Let us shun violence and anything that may threaten the peace and stability of our dear state.
    “I urge everyone to pray for a peaceful, free, fair, and credible election, and to exercise their civic responsibilities
    responsibly,” the Governor said.
    He said his administration would remain committed to consolidating
    the gains it had made in education, healthcare, agriculture,infrastructure, water supply, security and human capital
    development.
    “We shall continue to work with the Federal Government, Local Governments, traditional and religious
    institutions, the private sector and development partners in
    the service of our people.
    “As we mark this 66th Independence Anniversary, let us renew
    our faith in Nigeria, uphold peace and unity, and contribute our share towards building a stronger, more prosperous and
    united nation,” he added.
