    Kano Special Advisers’ Forum Endorses Gov Yusuf For Second Term,Lauds Achievements

    The Kano State Special Advisers’ Forum has endorsed Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for a second term in office, citing his transformational leadership qualities.

    The Forum made the declaration while briefing journalists at the NUJ press centre,Kano, on Tuesday.

    The group spoke through its Chairman,Comrade Baffa Sani Gaya, and its Secretary,Dr.Idris Salisu Rogo.

    “Since assuming office in May 2023, His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has consistently demonstrated an unyielding commitment to good governance, transparency, inclusivity and social justice.

    “The remarkable achievements recorded across key sectors are a clear evidence of his compassionate, competent and capable leadership.His vigorous pursuit of public sector reforms including the establishment of new ministries and agencies,has significantly strengthened critical areas of governance in Kano State,” the forum said.

    It cited the Governor’s achievements to include blocking financial leakages and implementing Treasury Single Account (TSA) across Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) and timely payment of. salaries and gratuities including settlement of over N28 billion of outstanding gratuities and death benefits to retirees.

    The group also lauded the Governor’s recruitment of 3,866 teachers and confirmation of 5,634 BESDA facilitators to permanent and pensionable roles,as well as the construction and renovation of classrooms and provision of essential furniture across the 484 wards in the state.

    Furthermore,the forum commended the Governor for the establishment of Diphtheria Treatment Centres,the Kano State Centre for Disease Control,and the launching of the Abba-care scheme which provides free leprosy treatment,among other achievements.

    “Given these verifiable achievements across all sectors,the Special Advisers’ Forum unanimously passes a Vote of Confidence on His Excellency.His leadership has consistently proven to be transformational,inclusive and visionary.

    “We remain resolute in our support for his developmental agenda and our commitment to serving the people of Kano State.

    “As we continue to witness and count the successes of His Excellency, we proudly and unequivocally endorse Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for a second term as Governor of Kano State,” the group added.
