A staunch member of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kano State,Dr.Mohammed Musa Zango, has applauded the recently-held State Congress of the party, describing the exercise as a demonstration of maturity, discipline and democratic spirit.
Dr.Zango,a retired Director in the Federal Service, also noted the peaceful conduct of the process which he said, was widely accepted.
He made the remarks while addressing a press conference at the NUJ press centre,Kano,on Monday.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC), recently held its State Congress at the Sani Abacha Indoor Stadium, where a new set of party executives emerged through a peaceful and widely accepted process.
“The conduct of the congress was a clear demonstration of the maturity, discipline, and democratic spirit that defined our great party,” he said.
The APC bigwig congratulated the newly-elected executives of the party and expressed confidence that with their wealth of experience, dedication, and commitment to the party and God’s guidance, they would continue to strengthen the party’s structure and unite its members in the state.
“In the same vein, I salute the immediate past leadership of the party in Kano State for  providing leadership characterized by honesty, transparency, dedication, and accountability,” he said.
Dr.Zango then urged members of the party to work hard to ensure its victory at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
“The task before us as members of the APC is enamors but must be performed. The year 2027 is gradually approaching, and it is our collective responsibility to work assiduously to deliver the State and the Federal to the APC.
“I therefore call on all party faithful, stakeholders, youth groups, women organizations, and supporters to close ranks, strengthen party unity, and intensify grassroots mobilization in preparation for 2027 electoral victories,” he said.
He commend Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his development strides in the state,”and particularly for creating an enabling political atmosphere that allows citizens and party members alike to freely and actively participate in the democratic process.”
