    I Handle NAHCON Affairs Without Any Political Bias, Islamic Sects Differences – Chair

    The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON), Prof. Abdullahi Sale Usman, says he is running the affairs of the commission without any Islamic religious sects differences or political bias, and in accordance with the unbiased mandate given to him by President BolaTinubu.

    Such mandate,Prof.Usman explained, tallies with the president’s unbiased Leadership he is providing to the People of Nigeria.

    “We regard this commission as an office for all Nigerian Muslims, regardless of their political leanings or Islamic sect differences, and this is in accordance with the actual position and mandate that President Bola Tinubu gave us,” he said.

    He made the remark when he was honoured by the Tudun Murtala Development Foundation chaired by a PDP stalwart, Alhaji Yahya Bagobiri,on Saturday.

    The Foundation honoured him as the NAHCON Chairman that conducted the 2025 Hajj which was adjudged the best so far in the recent Nigerian history.

    The programme which attracted members of the APC, NNPP and PDP, as well as followers of all the three main Islamic sects of Izala, Tijjaniya and Qadiriyya, was held at the Royal Prime Hall, Kano.

    “Today as the gathering clearly shows, the mission of uniting Nigeria by President Tinubu without giving preference to political or religious differences has manifested and the president has promised to sustain the feat,” the NAHCON boss said.

    In his speech,member of the House of Representatives representing Nassarawa Local Government Area, who is a member of NNPP, Hassan Shehu Hussain, commended Prof.Usman for upholding the true teachings of Islam in handling the affairs of the commission.

    Rep Hussain also stated that the NNPP Government in the state had done well in the provision of Infrastructure, assuring that areas like Tudum Murtala,Rimin Kebbe and other places also benefited from his road projects intervention and would soon enjoy more dividends of democracy.

    On his part, a member of the State House of Assembly and also a member of the NNPP, Engr MD Aliyu, thanked the organizers of the programme, assuring them of the readiness of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Federal Government to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
