Comrade Mohammed Garba, a respected statesman and former Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs in Kano State, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and associates of the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, following the news of his passing.

In a solemn statement issued to journalists, Comrade Mohammed Garba expressed deep sorrow and described the former President as “a man of great integrity, discipline and patriotic devotion, whose legacy will continue to inspire generations of Nigerians.”

According to Comrade Garba, “President Muhammadu Buhari served Nigeria with uncommon dedication.”

“Whether as a military Head of State or as a democratically elected President, he remained consistent in his beliefs and unwavering in his commitment to the Nigerian project.

“His passion for national development, anti-corruption crusade, and his enduring faith in democratic principles have left a lasting impression on our nation’s political landscape,” the former Kano State Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, stated.

Comrade Garba emphasized that the death of Buhari is not only a great loss to his family and the people of Daura, Katsina State, but also a significant loss to the country in general.

“This is indeed a painful moment for all of us who believe in the ideals of good governance, accountability and national unity. Buhari was a symbol of resilience, sacrifice and service. His departure has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill,” he said.

Comrade Garba recalled his personal encounters with the late Nigerian leader, noting Buhari’s humility, courage and consistent message of discipline and simplicity.

“He was never one to be swayed by the trappings of power. He lived a life of modesty, honor and self-restraint. Even in retirement, he remained a voice of reason and a moral compass for many,” he said.

While praying for the repose of Buhari’s soul, Comrade Garba called on Nigerians to remain united, uphold the values of integrity and patriotism for which the former President stood, and continue to pray for the peace and progress of the country.

He prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the late Nigerian to leader eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus and give his family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
