Yobe APC Governorship Primaries:Tumsah Laments Non-clearance,Says Decision Will Of Allah

A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Yobe State,Kashim Musa Tumsah(KMT),has expressed sadness over his non-clearance for the contest by the party’s Screening Committee.
Tumsah’s remark is contained in a statement he issued through the Spokesman of the KMT Campaign Organization,Malam Abubakar Ahmed.
“I received with extreme sadness the news that I have not been cleared by the APC screening Committee due to my nomination mostly by non financial members of our great Party.
“After due consultation with my Family, supporters and APC national and State Stakeholders , I have decided to accept the decision of the party in good faith as the Will of Allah, with the strong belief that Allah’s timing is always right.
“I wish to also seize this opportunity to thank my family, supporters, followers and friends for the exciting journey we had to entrench justice, process and democratic principles in our dear State.
“I therefore call on all my supporters, followers and friends to remain calm, peaceful and law abiding in the interest of the Party and in order not to divide or jeopardize the party’s chances in the forthcoming general elections
“Throughout this campaign, we have demonstrated to the citizenry that a new kind of people‑centric politics is possible. I wish to sincerely thank my supporters and the people of Yobe State for the love and commitment they have shown during all our interactions and consultations.
“Our journey to greatness may have been interrupted, but I reiterate that this is not how the journey will end.
“Let’s all unite and join hands to unreservedly support the re-election of Mr. President and whoever emerges as the Yobe State Gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 elections in today’s primaries.
“I wish to categorically state that the KMT movement shall continue through the usual support and interventions across Yobe State for the benefit of our people and communities .
“May Allah continue to guide and protect us towards his timing, Ameen,” the aspirant added.
