Kano State House Of Assembly Loses 2 Members Same Day

Two members of the Kano State House of Assembly on Wednesday passed on, throwing the legislature into grief and mourning.
The lawmakers,Aminu Sa’ad representing Ungogo Constituency,and Sarki Aliyu Daneji, representing Kano Municipal Constituency, died at one-hour interval.
Sources at the Assembly said Daneji’s demise came an hour after the passing of Hon. Ungogo, who was the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation.
Ungogo, a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party(NNPP), reportedly died after a brief illness.
He was said to have been at the Assembly complex earlier in the day attending a committee meeting before his death.
Meanwhile,the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has
expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased lawmakers, their constituents and the Kano State Government.
In a statement by his media aide, Malam Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau said:”My heartfelt condolences go to the families of the late lawmakers, their constituents and the Kano State Government.”
“May Almighty Allah forgive their shortcomings, grant them Jannatul Firdaus, and give their loved ones the strength to bear these irreparable losses,” he said.
