Group Reaffirms Support For DSP Barau Jibrin, Decries Musician’s “Evil Act”

    By Abdullahi Yusuf

A group,Tinubu/Abba/Barau Organization, has reaffirmed its unalloyed support for the Deputy President of the Senate(DSP) Barau Jibrin, condemning what it called “the evil machination” of an Hausa Musician against the lawmaker.

The group made the vow while addressing hundreds of its members at the NUJ press centre,Kano, on Saturday.

“We are gathered here today to condemn in its entirety, the calling of our leader, DSP Barau Jibrin, a bad name, by an Hausa Musician, and to reaffirm our unalloyed support for Senator Barau Jibrin, despite the singer’s evil doing,” the group’s leader and convener of the event,Alhaji Salisu Mohammed(Jarman Kura), said.

Jarman Kura said no amount of name calling by the musician and his cohorts would tanish the robust profile of Senator Barau Jibrin in his constituency, Kano North Senatorial District,Kano State and Nigeria.

“DSP Barau Jibrin has done so much for the country and Kano State, especially his constitutuency in terms of development projects, economic empowerment, scholarships and employment generation that no amount of campaign of calumny can smear his image,” he said.

He said the organization under his leadership would embark on a tour of the 13 local government areas in the Kano North Senatorial District to mobilise the people to vote for Senator Barau Jibrin in the 2027 general elections.

This, Jarman Kura said, is in appreciation of the lawmaker’s development strides which had positively impacted the lives of the people of the zone.

“It will also enable him to continue his good work in the Senate for the benefit of his constitutuency,Kano State and Nigeria,” he said.

Other members of the group also expressed their bitterness at the musician’s behaviour and vowed to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion.

The organization then pledged to massively vote for DSP Barau Jibrin, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 general elections to enable them to continue in office.
