Gov Yusuf Boosts Kano Pilgrims’ Welfare With Sallah Cash Incentives

    By Lamara Garba

In a bid to enhance the comfort and welfare of Kano State pilgrims performing the 2026 Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has provided cash incentives as Sallah gifts to all pilgrims from the state.

The distribution of the cash gifts was flagged off at the Kano Pilgrims house in Makkah by the Kano State Amirul Hajj and Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, who described the gesture as a clear demonstration of Governor Yusuf’s concern and commitment to the well-being of the state’s pilgrims throughout their stay in the Holy Land.

Addressing the pilgrims, the Amirul Hajj said although Governor Yusuf was not physically present in Saudi Arabia, his support and concern for the welfare of the pilgrims remained evident through the numerous measures put in place to ensure their comfort.

“His Excellency may not be here with us physically, but he is certainly with us in spirit. This Sallah gift is a reflection of his deep concern for the welfare and well-being of Kano pilgrims,” the Emir stated.

Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir also commended the exemplary conduct exhibited by Kano pilgrims since their arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He noted that the pilgrims had conducted themselves peacefully and responsibly while focusing on prayers and other acts of worship.

The Amirul Hajj further expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the Hajj exercise involving Kano contingents, describing the operation as smooth and successful.

According to him, the cooperation between pilgrims, officials and other stakeholders greatly contributed to the successful management of the pilgrimage activities.

Speaking on behalf of the pilgrims, Alhaji Abdulkadir Rano expressed profound appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the gesture, noting that the cash incentive would go a long way in supporting the welfare of pilgrims during the remaining period of their stay in the Holy Land.

“We are grateful to His Excellency for remembering us even while we are away from home. This support will certainly assist many pilgrims and further boost their morale as they continue with their religious obligations,” he said.

Also speaking, two female pilgrims, Hajiya Amina and Hajiya Aisha, separately thanked the governor for the Sallah gift, describing it as timely and thoughtful.

The women said the gesture had once again demonstrated the governor’s love and compassion for the people of Kano State, particularly those undertaking the sacred pilgrimage.

They prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon Governor Yusuf and his administration, while wishing the state greater peace, unity and development.

The distribution of the Sallah gifts was witnessed by members of the Kano State Hajj delegation, officials of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board and hundreds of grateful pilgrims in Makkah.
