Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has reaffirmed the commitment of the state government to inclusive leadership and stakeholder engagement, declaring that constructive advice from party leaders and well-wishers remains vital to advancing the state’s development agenda.
Garo made the assertion when he received former APC gubernatorial aspirant and respected party stalwart, Alhaji Kabiru Inuwa Waya, who led a delegation on a courtesy visit to his office in Kano.
The visit, widely seen as a significant move toward strengthening unity and cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, provided an opportunity for both leaders to exchange views on governance, party development and the future of the state.
Welcoming his guest, the Deputy Governor expressed appreciation for Waya’s support and longstanding contributions to the growth of the APC, assuring him that the administration would continue to work closely with committed stakeholders dedicated to the progress and prosperity of Kano State.
According to Garo, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration remains focused on delivering the dividends of democracy through the implementation of the “Kano First” agenda.
“With the guidance, wisdom and sincere advice of elder statesmen and experienced leaders like Alhaji Kabiru Inuwa Waya, we are confident that Kano State will continue to record remarkable progress and development,” the Deputy Governor stated.
Earlier, Alhaji Kabiru Inuwa Waya congratulated Garo on his emergence as Deputy Governor, describing him as a compassionate leader whose dedication to public service has earned him widespread respect and acceptance across political divides.
He noted that Garo’s emergence was welcomed by many party faithful who believe in his capacity to support Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in advancing the administration’s developmental objectives and fostering greater unity within the APC.
“Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo is a leader whose record of service and commitment to the people speaks for itself. We are confident in his ability to work harmoniously with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in moving Kano State forward,” Waya said.
The former governorship candidate pledged his continued support for the government and offered prayers for peace, stability and sustainable development in Kano State.
Also speaking during the visit, the member representing Kano Municipal Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Nabil Sarki Aliyu Daneji, described Waya as a committed party leader and strong supporter of the administration.
He prayed for divine guidance and success for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo, expressing confidence that the spirit of unity and cooperation among APC stakeholders would continue to strengthen the party’s position in Kano State.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a Certificate of Excellence to Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo in recognition of his leadership, service and contributions to the development of Kano State.
