The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has paid a condolence visit to the Chief of Staff to the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Sani Liman Kila, over the death of his father, Malam Muhammad Sani Mukaddas.
During the visit at Hotori in Kano,, the minister sympathized with the bereaved family and prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Mukaddas, asking Allah to grant him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the loss.

Similarly, the President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Alhassan Yahya, led a delegation of senior NUJ officials from Zone A on a condolence visit to the Chief of Staff. The delegation also offered prayers for the deceased and comforted the family.

The NUJ president was accompanied by Vice President Zone A, Muhammad Tukur Umar, Zonal Secretary, Abdulrazak Kaura, and the Chairmen of the NUJ councils in Kano, Suleiman Dederi; Kaduna, Alabelewe Abdulgafar; and Katsina, Tukur Hassan Dan Ali. Others on the entourage included the Secretaries of the Kaduna and Katsina councils, Gambo Santos and Abdullateef Yusuf, as well as Assistant Secretary of the Kano Council, Hauwa Zahraddeen.

Meanwhile, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and his Jigawa State counterpart, Governor Umar Namadi Dan Modi, attended the funeral prayers held in Kila, Jigawa State. The two governors described the late Mukaddas as a fine gentleman, devout Muslim, and respected community leader who lived a peaceful and exemplary life.
The late Malam Muhammad Sani Mukaddas, who passed away on Tuesday after a prolonged illness, has been laid to rest in his hometown of Kila, Jigawa State.
