The Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, nim, has lauded the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his strategic working visit to the Kano State Police Command Headquarters in Bompai. The visit was aimed at commending the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, for the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by the police in arresting suspects involved in the gruesome murder of a woman and her six children in Ciranchi, Kumbotso Local Government Area.

Dr. Dan’agundi described the Governor’s visit as a morale booster for the police, noting that such gestures encourage officers to intensify their commitment to duty. According to him, “This kind of visit from the Governor will further motivate the police to put in more effort, knowing that their sacrifices and professionalism are recognized and appreciated at the highest level of leadership.”

He further stated that CP Bakori’s leadership has significantly improved security in Kano State, stressing that the impact of his tenure is evident across the state. Dr. Dan’agundi noted that since the Commissioner’s assumption of office, there has been notable progress in maintaining peace and curbing criminal activities in both urban and rural communities.

Commending Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s leadership style, Dr. Dan’agundi described him as a humble and people-oriented leader. “The Governor is a listening leader who values the opinions of the people and embraces constructive advice. His visit to the Police Headquarters is not only symbolic but a clear demonstration of responsible governance,” he said.

Dr. Dan’agundi emphasized that the visit reflects the long-standing call for stronger collaboration between the Kano State Government and security agencies. He noted that sustained cooperation between the government and the police remains the most effective pathway to eliminating criminality and ensuring lasting peace and security in Kano State. He added that the Governor’s pledge to continue working closely with CP Bakori is a positive step toward achieving a safer and more secure Kano.
