Bagwai/Shanono APC Stakeholders Endorse Farouk Lawan For House Of Reps

    By Abdullahi Yusuf

The All Progressive Congress(APC) stakeholders from Bagwai and Shanono Local Governments, have unanimously endorsed Alhaji Farouk Lawan as their sole candidate for the seat of the House of Representatives and Hon. Ali Kiyawa for State House of Assembly.

Recalling with nostalgia, the Leaders and Youths together with Women groups, explained that the days of Faruk Lawan at the National Assembly, had brought strong representation for them, which made them to adopt him as their candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election.

Endorsing Faruk Lawan shortly after meeting with Governor Yusuf in a stakeholders engagement, were the Chairman Bagwai Local Government,Engr Bello Gadanya, the Chairman of Shanono Local Government,Alhaji Abubakar Barau Shanono, and other Elders including Alhaji Sani Gadanya former Commissioner under the Abubakar Rimi Administration, Salisu Garba Bagwai, former Chairman Bagwai Local Government, Comrade Ahmed Kadamu, former Chairman Shanono Local Government, and Alhaji Inuwa Zangina Dangada, former Chairman Bagwai Local Government.

Others who endorsed Faruk Lawan on behalf of their Youths, are Women groups, the entire electorates of their areas including Alhaji Mustapha Shatan Shanono, Alhaji Ali Ado a Former State Commissioner, and Alhaji Haruna Abbas, a prominent APC leader.

In the same vein, the elected and supervisory and Councilors in the area also endorsed Faruk Lawan for his bid to return to the National Assembly, as the best thing that would happen to them and their families.

Speaking at the Government House after meeting with Governor Yusuf, the elders, explained their reasons behind their endorsement of Faruk Lawan, alleging that their area had suffered serious neglect and lack of good representation over the years.

“When Faruk Lawan was at the National Assembly, not only the people of Bagwai and Shanono, the entire Nigerian citizens respected him as man of proven integrity and commanded respect among his people, regardless of the unfortunate situation that happened to him, but he still possesses such qualities,” they said.

The Elders and the Stakeholders, commended their respected Citizens for their sense of good historical reckoning, adding that people like Faruk Lawan are needed in the national Assembly to make the nation proud.

“We stand firmly with Faruk Lawan as our sole Representative, and we are extremely happy that he has accepted to go back to the National Assembly, for the service of humanity.

“And out of sheer respect for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, we have allowed him to make the final choice, but our respected choice remains Faruk Lawan as the unanimous candidate for Bagwai and Shanono Federal Constituency and Hon. Ali Kiyawa for State House of Assembly,” the stakeholders added.
