Kwankwaso’s Son,Mustapha Resigns As Kano Commissioner

Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Kano State and son of former governor and senator, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has resigned his position as a member of the Kano State Executive Council.
In a statement released on Monday, Kwankwaso said his decision to step down was taken with a heavy heart, expressing appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the opportunity to serve the state.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my resignation as Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, and Member of the Kano State Executive Council,” he said.
The former commissioner thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in him, noting that his time in office was marked by valuable experiences and lessons.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the opportunity to serve the great people of Kano State. I have cherished the experiences and lessons gained while serving, and I appreciate the trust placed in me,” he said.
Kwankwaso also called for sustained attention and support for the youth of Kano State, stressing the importance of continuity in youth-focused policies and programmes.
“As I resign, I pray that the youth of Kano State will continue to receive the attention and support they deserve,” he said.
He expressed optimism about the future of sports development in the state, voicing confidence that existing programmes and initiatives would continue to grow and yield positive results.
“I hope for the best for our sports development programmes and initiatives, and I am confident that they will flourish in the years to come,” he said.
Kwankwaso then prayed for Kano State and wished the government and people of the continued progress and success.
“May Allah (SWT) continue to shower His blessings on our beloved Kano State. I wish the government and people of Kano State all the best,” he added.
