The Michael Imodu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, has concluded arrangements to honour Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, with the Labour-Friendly Governor Award.
Speaking at an Industrial Relations Workshop organised by the Institute in Kaduna, the Director-General, Comrade Isa Aremu, said the recognition was in appreciation of the governor’s proactive approach to labour matters.
According to him, Governor Yusuf’s administration has demonstrated exceptional commitment to addressing workers’ welfare, despite the large population of civil servants in Kano State.
“His inclusive and responsive attitude towards labour issues is a step in the right direction and worthy of emulation,” Aremu stated.
While commending the Institute for the recognition, the Head of Civil Service of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, who represented the governor at the event, expressed gratitude for the honour.
He assured that the message would be conveyed to the governor, adding that the government and people of Kano State deeply appreciate the gesture
