2027:Sen.Kwankwaso Yet To Decide – Kano NNPP Chair

    By Abdullahi Yusuf

The Chairman of the Kano State chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP),Alhaji Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, says the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement,Sen.Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has yet to decide on his moves ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing newsmen in Kano on Monday, Dungurawa said contrary to speculations in the media, the NNPP presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections had not made up his mind on his plans for the 2027 polls.

“It is not yet time;we are in 2025 and the elections will hold in 2027,so, why the hurry, why are people asking questions about my Oga’s plans for 2027?

“When the right time comes, my Oga, my leader, my political philosopher will decide on his plans for the 2027 elections.

“And we his supporters, will follow him to wherever he is going, because we believe in him and his leadership,” Dungurawa said.

He also stated that there is no anxiety or any impatience among members of the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya movement over Dr. Kwankwaso’s next political moves as he is always in consultation with them.

“Some people pretend to be our leader’s supporters, but the supporters of our leader that I know, are not anxious, they are not eager to know about his next decision, because he would not any decisions without consulting them,” Dungurawa said.

On wether Dr.Kwankwaso is in talks with some political parties towards a possible defection or merger, the NNPP chairman said there was nothing wrong in the former Governor of Kano State talking with other politicians.

He, however, stated that talking with fellow politicians did not mean joining or merging with their respective political parties.

“As a renowned politician, my leader, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso can talk to any politicians, but that does not mean he is joining or merging with their parties,” he added.
