2027:Atiku Local Govt Coordinators Hold Inaugural Meeting In Katsina

    By Abdullahi Yusuf

The Atiku Abubakar Local Government Campaign Coordinators for the 2027 Presidential election on Tuesday held their inaugural meeting at the Ahmad Babba Kaita Gubernatorial Campaign Office, Katsina.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Spokesman of the Ahmad Babba Kaita Gubernatorial Campaign,Malam Abubakar Ahmed.

Ahmed said the meeting which had all the 34 local government areas of the state represented by their respective coordinators deliberated extensively on best strategies towards winning the 2027 elections for the African Democratic Congress(ADC) at all levels, throughout the country.

He said that the Convener of the meeting who is also the State Coordinator, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, Alhaji Surajo Aminu-Makera, charged the participants to ensure a rancour-free campaign under the party’s mantra of peaceful conduct and devoid of breaching INEC rules and security issues.

“I remain confident that the ADC has made the best choice by nominating Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as its Presidential flag bearer and also in Katsina State with Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita as the gubernatorial candidate.

“With these two strong, experienced and popular candidates for both Presidential and gubernatorial elections in Katsina State, I can assure you that we are good to go,” Aminu-Makera said.

He directed the local government area coordinators to within the next 10 days consult and appoint committed persons as ward coordinators who would in turn and at the soonest possible time, appoint polling unit coordinators.

He cautioned that selection of the ward and polling unit coordinators must be based on trust and commitment of the identified persons to the ADC, and to be carried out through wide consultations with ADC stakeholders of the respective local government areas.

The State Coordinator announced that local government, ward and polling unit coordinators would soon be selected for the gubernatorial election of Ahmad Babba Kaita, as well as for all the party’s national and state assembly candidates.

He explained that all the coordinators, their supporting members and party officials at all levels should work hand-in-hand for the success of the party.

At the end of the meeting, channels of communication were opened which included all members, while the State Coordinator promised that doors would remain open for advice and other issues that could arise regarding the campaigns.
