The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Dr. Muhammad Sunusi today bade farewell to the Falconets ahead of their departure for Poland on Monday.
Speaking to the team, he urged the players to consider it an honour to represent Nigeria, to carry themselves with strong character, and to promote the nation’s name through their performance. He reminded them of three key responsibilities: to launch their football careers globally, to showcase Nigeria on the world stage, and to bring joy to Nigerians—ideally by returning with the trophy for presentation to the President and First Lady.
The General Secretary reassured the team that the NFF, in collaboration with the National Sports Commission and the Federal Government, has worked to create an enabling environment for success, including holding preparatory sessions at the competition venue so the players can acclimatize. He encouraged the team to combine technical and tactical work with personal faith and prayers, and he wished them safety and success, praying especially against injuries.
Logistics remain under close attention: some players are facing visa and travel issues, and the federation is handling these matters to ensure all players join the team as soon as possible. The NFF reiterated its full support and wished the Falconets the best of luck in the tournament.
