Naja’atu Muhammad @ 70: Dan Agungi Hails Seven Decades of Service and Struggle

The Director-General, National Productivity Council (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agungi, has congratulated veteran politician and activist, Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad, on her 70th birthday, describing her as a courageous voice whose contributions to Nigeria’s political and social development remain significant.
In a congratulatory message issued to mark the milestone, Dan Agungi said Naja’atu Muhammad had devoted seven decades to public engagement, activism and the pursuit of causes she strongly believed would advance the interests of Nigerians.
He described her as a woman of courage, conviction and resilience, noting that she had consistently demonstrated the willingness to speak out on issues concerning justice, accountability, good governance and the welfare of citizens.
According to him, Naja’atu’s political and activist journey has been characterised by her readiness to challenge the status quo and defend her convictions, even when doing so required personal sacrifice and determination.
Dan Agungi said her contribution to political development and public discourse had made her a respected figure whose voice continued to attract attention on matters of national importance.
He noted that the 70th birthday was not merely a celebration of age but an opportunity to recognise a life shaped by political participation, activism, public service and a commitment to building a better Nigeria.
The NPC Director-General further said Naja’atu Muhammad’s courage and determination should serve as an inspiration to younger Nigerians seeking to participate actively in public affairs and contribute to national development.
“Her life demonstrates that meaningful public service requires courage, conviction and the willingness to stand for what one believes is right,” he said.
Dan Agungi congratulated the celebrant on what he described as “70 remarkable years of courage, service and struggle,” while praying Almighty Allah to grant her many more years in good health, peace, wisdom and strength.
He also prayed that the values of courage, service and conviction that have characterised her journey would continue to inspire generations of Nigerians.
