Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Friday joined family members, political associates, community leaders, businessmen and other mourners at the Janazah prayer of a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma, who passed away earlier in the day.
The funeral prayer, held at the Bulama Mosque, Hotoro Quarters, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, was led by Sheikh Bashir Tijjani Zangon Barebari.
The Deputy Governor, visibly saddened by the loss, joined the bereaved family and the people of Kano in bidding a final farewell to the late APC stalwart, whose death has left a painful void among his family, associates and political comrades.
Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma was a respected figure within the APC in Kano State and was widely recognised for his contributions to the growth and development of the party.
Following the Janazah prayer, the deceased was laid to rest at the Abattoir Cemetery, Dala Local Government Area, Kano metropolis.
Earlier, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo attended the wedding Fatiha of Mubarak Ibrahim Kabo and his bride, Sa’adatu Sabiu Aliyu, held in Kabo Local Government Area.
At the ceremony, the Deputy Governor served as the Wakili, representing the groom, Mubarak Ibrahim Kabo, with a dowry of N100,000.
The Deputy Governor also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Usman Sarkin Kasuwa, who recently passed away in Kabo town. He prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased, grant him eternal rest and give the bereaved family the strength and patience to endure the loss.
Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the late Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma, admit him into Jannatul Firdaus, illuminate and widen his grave, and grant his family, friends, political associates and all those affected by his death the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
