The Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude, has called on parents to take a more active role in monitoring the education and upbringing of their children, describing education as the foundation for responsible citizenship and sustainable development.
Barrister Maude said education remains critical to success in virtually every sphere of human endeavour, urging parents not to relent in providing the necessary support and guidance required to enable their wards realise their full potential.
He also charged pupils to remain committed to their studies, discipline and personal development, stressing that the knowledge and values acquired in school would help prepare them to become responsible adults and useful members of society.
The Attorney General made the call while speaking at the third graduation ceremony of Blazing Star International School, Farawa, Kano.
He urged the graduating pupils to regard their academic achievement as the beginning of a greater journey, rather than an end in itself, encouraging them to remain focused, respectful and committed to lifelong learning.
The Commissioner further emphasised the collective responsibility of parents, teachers, school proprietors and the wider society in shaping the future of children, noting that a society that invests in quality education is investing in its own peace, prosperity and development.

In his remarks an ace broadcaster Comrade Mohammed Musa Inya dwelt on values of education in ensuring morality in society

Inya former Managing Director of Hikima Radio appreciated the school management and teachers for their zeal, calling on parents to pay attention to their children’s education

Speaking at the occasion, the Head Teacher of the school, Mrs Grace Ibada, expressed appreciation to the management for creating an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning.
She commended the teachers for their dedication, commitment and sacrifices in discharging their responsibilities, saying their efforts had contributed significantly to the academic and moral development of the pupils.
Mrs Ibada also thanked parents for their support and cooperation, stressing that the success of every child requires a strong partnership between the home and the school.
The graduation ceremony provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the graduating pupils while also renewing the call for greater investment in education as a pathway to building a responsible, productive and enlightened generation.
