Gov Yusuf Swears In New Deputy Murtala Garo,Amid Pomp And Paegentry

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State on Tuesday presided over the swearing-in of the new Deputy Governor of the State, Murtala Sule Garo,amid a large turnout of APC members who thronged the Government House,Kano, venue of the ceremony.
The event which was held at the Ante Chamber of the Government House, also attracted top government functionaries, influential party stakeholders, traditional rulers and a well-wishers.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of the State, Dije Abdu Aboki.
In his remarks, Governor Yusuf charged the new deputy governor to to work diligently towards advancing the development of the state and improving the welfare of its citizens.
He emphasized his administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy through people-oriented policies and programmes.
“Our administration remains resolute in ensuring that the people of Kano State benefit from meaningful and impactful governance.
“I urge you to bring your wealth of experience to bear in supporting our collective efforts to move the state forward,” Yusuf said.
The governor also stressed the importance of teamwork and dedication in achieving the administration’s development goals, noting that the new deputy governor has a critical role to play in strengthening governance and service delivery.
In his acceptance speech, Garo pledged his full commitment to the growth and development of the state, assuring the governor and the people of Kano of his readiness to serve with diligence and loyalty.
“I am deeply honoured by the confidence reposed in me by His Excellency and the opportunity to serve our dear state.I will contribute my quota to ensure that our administration succeeds in delivering on its promises to the people,” the deputy governor said.
