The 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, on Sunday was among a large congregation at the funeral prayers of former Chairman of the Nigerian Football Association, Ibrahim Galadima.
The funeral prayer, held at the Fagge Juma’at Mosque, drew hundreds of mourners from across the country, including prominent personalities and sports stakeholders.
The Emir arrived at the mosque about thirty minutes before the commencement of the prayers at 10:00 a.m., as sympathisers gathered in solemn reflection to pay their last respects to the late administrator.
Among those in attendance was former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, who joined other dignitaries and members of the public in honouring the deceased.
Emotions ran high as the remains of Galadima were laid to rest, with many mourners struggling to hold back tears at the graveside.
Speaking after the burial, Shekarau described the late Galadima as a fine gentleman who left an enduring legacy in Nigeria’s sports sector. He noted that the deceased was known for his integrity and unwavering commitment to truth.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
