Deputy Governorship:Abba Gida-Gida 2027 Intellectual Forum Makes Case For Falgore

The Abba Gida-Gida 2027 Intellectual Forum has urged Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to select and nominate Alhaji Ismail Jibril Falgore, the incumbent Speaker of the State House of Assembly,to become the next Deputy Governor of the state.
The group made the request in a statement signed by its Director-General, Alhaji Abba Garo,and its Secretary,Hon. Isary Kaza Gabasawa, and issued to Journalists in Kano on Monday.
“Following the recent resignation of the former Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Abba Gida-Gida Intellectual Forum has carefully reviewed the current political landscape and hereby formally proposes and recommend the current Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, to fill the vacant position of Deputy Governor,” the statement said.
The group gave reasons for its request, stating that Hon.Falgore “is a highly respected, honest, and qualified leader who had proven himself to be a trustworthy partner for your administration.”
It also reasoned that Falgore is not a corrupt politician, as he has no any corrupt allegations against him.
“Your Excellency, Speaker Jibril Ismail Falgore has demonstrated exceptional leadership by effectively coordinating the House of Assembly and aligning himself and his members with your vision, particularly regarding the strategic decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“In addition, he has performed his duties with distinction, ensuring the swift passage of vital legislations and responding promptly to all executive requests in the interest of the public,supporting the Governor to fulfill his campaign promises.
“We are confident that he will double his dedication to the Kano First Development agenda,” the Forum said.
It also explained that Speaker Folgore is a seasoned grassroots politician who led the Kwankwasiyya youth movement to help secure victory for Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf during the 2027 elections.
“His extensive experience ranges from serving as a Councillor, former member representing Rogo Local Government at the previous Assembly to his current role as Speaker.
“Your Excellency, the public recognizes Speaker Falgore’s steadfast loyalty to you.Furthermore, as a recognized “Youth Ambassador,” he is uniquely positioned to represent the interests of his age generation as a Youth,” it said.
The group further stated that the appointment of Falgore as the State Deputy Governor would balance the political equation between Kano South Senatorial District and other Senatorial zones of the state, noting that Kano South had not held the position of Governor or Deputy Governor from 1999 to date.
“Your Excellency, we respectfully appeal to you to consider and approve this proposal.We believe Rt. Hon. Falgore is the ideal candidate to support your continued success in transforming Kano State,” the statement added.
