The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has dismissed as false a recruitment notice currently circulating on social media.
In a disclaimer issued on Wednesday, the agency’s Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, said the purported press release announcing a recruitment exercise did not emanate from NAFDAC.
She explained that although the agency periodically conducts recruitment to engage qualified Nigerians, no such exercise has been announced at this time.
NAFDAC urged members of the public to disregard the information and remain cautious, warning that the fake notice was designed to defraud unsuspecting job seekers.

According to the agency, fraudsters often use fake recruitment messages to extort money under the guise of application or processing fees.
The agency stressed that all official information, including recruitment announcements, is communicated only through its verified channels, including the official NAFDAC website and recognised media platforms.
NAFDAC further advised Nigerians, particularly job seekers, to always verify information before acting on recruitment-related messages, noting that the agency does not charge any fee for employment opportunities.
