The One Kano Agenda (OKA) has praised Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for presenting the historic ₦1.368 trillion 2026 Budget, describing it as apt, visionary, and people- oriented.

The Chairman of the group, Abbas gave this indication at a News conference, Monday at the NUJ Press Center.

Leader of the group, Ambassador Abbas Yakasai says they appreciates the robust 68% capital expenditure and major allocations to Education, Infrastructure, and Health, saying that these investments demonstrate the administration’s commitment to rebuilding Kano and addressing years of neglect.

He maintained that One Kano Agenda also applauded the Governor’s commitment on security, highlighting his assurance that criminals have no safe haven in Kano.

” We recognize the improved collaboration between government, security agencies, local vigilantes, and communities, which has boosted public confidence and maintained peace in the state.” Yakasai declared.

He then called on stakeholders including youths, civil society, traditional institutions, and political actors to support the government regardless of party affiliations, emphasizing unity and collective responsibility.

According to him OKA endorses ceaseless monitoring of project implementation, transparency advocacy, and community engagement to ensure the budget delivers maximum impact.

Ambassador Yakasai then described the 2026 budget as a victory for all Kano residents and urged the State House of Assembly to pass it promptly.

He reaffirmed their commitment to promoting unity, peace, and development in Kano, stressing that progress requires the contribution of every citizen.
