2027:You Can’t Blackmail Tinubu Out Of Power – Kwankwaso Tells El-Rufai

    By Abdullahi Yusuf

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Kano State, Dr Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has accused former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru Elrufai, of attempting to blackmail President Bola Tinubu out of power.

Kwankwaso,in a statement distributed to newsmen in Kano on Monday, alleged that recent utterances of the former Governor suggested blackmail, desperation and baseless claims aimed at removing the President from power.

“El-Rufai should know that he cannot blackmail President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election the way he did to former president Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, using poverty, insecurity and economic hardships, because his tactics are known to all of us,” said.

“It is a well-known fact that President Tinubu has done so much to address the nation’s security challenges and turned around the economy, and these are evident in the reduction of poverty among the citizens as well as in the crashing of prices of essential commodities nationwide.

“Similarly, the security situation in the country has improved significantly with Nigerians now moving around freely without let or hinderance.

“The insecurity met on ground by President Tinubu is gradually becoming history, thanks to Mallam Nuhu Ribadu the National Security Adviser(NSA) to the President, but people like Elrufai are not happy with the development,” he said..

Dr Musa Kwankwaso, who is the Executive Director Finance,HadejiaJama’are River Basin Development Authority(HJRBDA),also condemned El-Rufai’s allegation that the Government of President Tinubu is sponsoring banditry and other criminal acts in the country.

“He should prove the allegation or keep quiet and allow the Government to continue with the good things they are doing for the country,” he said.

On the recent formation of political parties aimed at capturing power at the centre,Kwankwaso alleged that the group is made up political failures that had nothing to offer Nigerians.

He, therefore, urged the citizens to ignore the activities of the coalition and unite in supporting President Tinubu to complete the good work he had started.

“Nigerians should be united and rally round President Tinubu to complete his 8 years for their own good, and not listen to blackmailers who have nothing to offer but negativity and dislikes for one another.

“President Tinubu stood alone in 2023 as a leader and won the Presidency with 8 million votes, and I assure you that he will win again with 15 million votes most of which will come from the North, come 2027,” the APC stalwart added.
