Kebbi Hunters Endorse Tinubu, Idris for 2027, Pledge Support for APC

The Kebbi State Association of Hunters has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris for second term in 2027, pledging to mobilise support for all APC candidates in the general elections.

The hunters organised the gathering on Saturday at the Haliru Audu Stadium, Birnin Kebbi, with members drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state in attendance.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Idris charged members to remain committed to the APC and vote for the party’s candidates “from top to bottom” in 2027.

“I am appealing to all of you to vote for Mr. President, the Kebbi State Governor, and all APC candidates across the board. There is improvement in the economic growth of the country. In Kebbi State, I have touched all sectors and given the people a sense of belonging,” he said.

Governor Idris further urged the hunters not to be distracted by opposition campaigns against the APC administration, stressing that the government remains committed to delivering meaningful development.

Also speaking, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Turkey and former Kebbi state Governor, Alhaji Saidu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, commended the organisers and urged the hunters to remain loyal to the APC-led governments.

Earlier, Hon. Babangida Aminu Guluma, Member representing Birnin Kebbi North in the Kebbi State House of Assembly and Patron of the Hunters Association, expressed satisfaction with the large turnout and assured the Governor of the association’s continued support.

In the same vein, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Power and Political Matters, Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant, called on members to work hard to ensure APC’s victory in 2027.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Hunters Association, Alhaji Bashir Muge, thanked Governor Idris for his support to the association and reaffirmed the association’s backing.

“We have no other party than the APC. We have already endorsed you and Mr.
President,” Muge declared.

Hghlight of the programmewas a colourful display of traditional hunting skills and tactics by members of the association.

The hunters thrilled the crowd with demonstrations of tracking, trapping, and combat techniques, showcasing the cultural heritage and readiness of the group to support security efforts in the state.
