Residents of Danhonu II in New Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Monday staged a protest over the rising cases of kidnappings being carried out by armed bandits in the area.
The protesters marched to the main police office in the Millennium City area, where they blocked the major access road into the community while chanting songs of distress and calling for urgent security intervention.
The most recent attack occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, when gunmen invaded homes and abducted members of two families.
Those abducted include Yahaya Yusuf, his wife Latifat Yusuf, and their sons, Abdulgafar and Abdulqudus.
Others abducted are Hajiya Abdulrazak Jimoh and her two children, whose names were not disclosed at the time of filing this report.
