The Kano State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, has reaffirmed the readiness of his office to conduct a seamless One-Stream Computer-Based Promotional Examination for civil servants in the state.

A statement signed by Director, Public Enlightenment Office of the Head of service, Aliyu Yusuf ,says ,Alhaji Musa gave the assurance during the weekly Joint Directorates Meeting held in his office.

He explained that although the initiative—which began with the July 2025 promotional examination—experienced some initial challenges, adequate measures have now been put in place to ensure a hitch-free exercise scheduled for Monday, 17th November 2025.

The examination is designed for civil servants on Grade Levels 8 to 15 who are due for promotion in January 2025. The Head of Service urged all eligible candidates to strictly adhere to the approved examination timetable to avoid confusion and unnecessary delays.

Alhaji Musa further disclosed that the results of the promotional examination, alongside those of the recently concluded ASCON training and assessment, will be used during interviews slated for December and January to ensure proper alignment with officers’ promotion anniversaries.

He commended the management and staff of the Office of the Head of Service for their continued support toward implementing reforms, and encouraged them to sustain the momentum in the interest of improved service delivery across the state.

The accredited centres for the Computer-Based Promotional Examination include the Kano State Library Board, Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, the Office of the State Auditor-General, and the Kano State School of Technology, Matan Fada Road, all within the metropolitan area.
