    Gov.Yusuf Mourns Buhari, Hails Former President’s Courage, Sincerity

    Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has expressed profound shock and sadness over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

    In a condolence message issued to newsmen in Kano, Yusuf described the former Nigerian leader as “a towering figure whose life embodied discipline, integrity and unwavering love for Nigeria.”

    “President Muhammadu Buhari devoted his entire life to serving our dear country with courage and sincerity,” the Governor said in a statement signed by his Spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

    “Both as a military ruler and as a democratically elected leader, Buhari dedicated himself to the unity, stability and progress of the nation.

    “His steadfastness, simplicity and commitment to the welfare of ordinary Nigerians will continue to inspire generations, “he said.

    The Governor then extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late President, the government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians, over the monumental loss.

    He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the late President’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and give the nation the strength to bear the great loss.

    Buhari died on Sunday evening at a clinic in London, United Kingdom, at the age of 82, while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.

    The former President will be buried in his hometown,Daura, Katsina State,on Monday, according to his social media ade, Bashir Ahmad.

    Ahmad made the announcement on his verified Facebook page on Sunday night.
