    Convocation:Dangote Varsity To Confer Honorary Doctorate Degrees On Kwankwaso, Arthur Eze, others

    The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State, is to confer honorary Doctorate Degrees on some prominent Nigerians at the 5th combined convocation of the institution in recognition of their selfless service to the nation.

    The recipient of the honourary degrees include Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso,Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, Chief Arthur Eze, Dr Adeniyi Raji (SAN) and Alhaji Ado Mohammad Mustapha (AMMASCO).

    The University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, disclosed this while briefing journalists on preparations for the convocation ceremony.

    “During the convocation, the Chancellor of the university, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, would be reappointed as the university’s Chancellor for the second time,” he said.

    He also said that a total of 18,000 students from seven sets are expected to receive their first, second and third degrees during the convocation ceremony scheduled to begin on Wednesday 7th May,2025 through Saturday, 10th May 2025 at the convocation arena of the university.

    “For a decade now the university has not had convocation. So, we are expecting a number of guests including those expected to accompany the awardees,” the vice chancellor said.

    He commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his continued support to the institution.

    He then assured that adequate security arrangements had been made to ensure the safety of lives and property throughout the convocation ceremony and beyond.

    Yakasai said that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf would be the visitor of the university during the ceremony.

    He expressed his appreciation to the state government for providing all the needed logistics to ensure smooth conduct of the ceremony .
