The wedding solemnization was conducted at 11:30 a.m., following the payment of a ₦200,000 dowry.
The ceremony turned into a colourful display of royalty and comradeship, reflecting the high standing of the groom’s father, who is the Magayakin Minjibir and a prominent national labour leader.
The event drew the presence of prominent politicians, senior civil servants, and top labour figures.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Ward Head of Yakasai, Comrade Tajo Mai Unguwa; Chairman of the Kano Council of the NLC, Comrade Kabiru Inuwa; and Chairman of the Joint Negotiation Council, Comrade Hashimu Sale.
Also present were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, Alhaji Abba Danguguwa; Special Adviser on Labour, Comrade Baffa Sani Gaya; Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Union, Kano State, Comrade Babangida Gwarzo; and NLC Treasurer, Comrade Nura Rimin Gado, among others.
In his remarks, the groom’s father, Comrade Kabiru Ado Minjibir, expressed gratitude to all who honoured the invitation. He prayed for journey mercies for guests returning to their various destinations.
He further advised the newlyweds to embrace patience, avoid bitterness, and build their home on mutual understanding for a peaceful and fulfilling marriage.
