NYSC Mobilization: ADUSTECH Debunks Report On Delay, Says 1,763 Mobilized

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Kano State, has clarified reports alleging delays in the mobilisation of some of its graduates for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
The university described a report published by a Newspaper alleging that parents and affected graduates were demanding explanations over the delay as misleading and based on inadequate information.
In a statement issued by the university’s Head of Information and Public Affairs Unit, Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi, the institution said contrary to the report, no student graduated from the institution in September 2025.
The statement explained that the affected students only completed their final-year written examinations in September 2025, stressing that completion of examinations did not automatically constitute graduation.
According to the university, graduation requires the completion of several academic and administrative processes, including marking and grading of scripts, external examination, completion and defence of final-year projects, consideration by Departmental and Faculty Boards of Examiners, the Senate Business Committee and final approval by the University Senate.
It said only results approved by the Senate could be uploaded to the NYSC portal for mobilisation.
ADUSTECH also stated that it had consistently complied with NYSC mobilisation requirements, including the submission of Senate-approved lists and hard copies to the NYSC headquarters.
The university disclosed that it had successfully mobilized 10,232 graduates for national service between 2024 Batch A and 2026 Batch C, adding that 1,763 graduates had already been mobilised for the 2026 Batch C exercise, for which online registration commenced on September 7, 2026.
It attributed some cases of non-mobilisation to failure by affected students to complete NYSC biodata forms, submit the forms to the NYSC Desk Officer, verify their admission status through the JAMB portal or comply with mobilisation directives.
The university further said its NYSC Unit had introduced an internal verification and mobilisation exercise over the past three years to minimise errors in students’ records before submission to NYSC.
ADUSTECH urged parents, guardians, students and other stakeholders to channel enquiries to the appropriate university authorities, while advising the media especially the so called paper in question to always verify information and act professionally before going for publication.
The institution reaffirmed its commitment to protecting students’ welfare and improving teaching and learning conditions, while thanking parents, students and other stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation.
