Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the turbaning ceremony of Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as the Sardauna of Ilorin.

The ceremony, held at the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin Yesterday attracted governors, political leaders, traditional rulers and other dignitaries from across the country.

The traditional title was conferred on Governor AbdulRazaq by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.

Alhaji Murtala Garo also represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the commissioning of the Kwara Garment Factory by Vice President Kashim Shettima, earlier in the day.

A statement signed by Lurwanu Idris Malikawa PRO Deputy Governors office says the Deputy Governor joined other government officials and dignitaries at the event, which marked the commencement of activities at the newly commissioned facility.

His participation in the engagements conveyed the presence and goodwill of the Kano State Government at the events, which brought together leaders from different parts of the country.

The activities concluded with a reception and luncheon at the Atlantic Events Palace, Ilorin, attended by dignitaries and invited guests.
